Oma's Pumpkin Patch

Baby TD had a long day, and has finally settled down and is sleeping. Today was Signing Friday, but with a twist! To celebrate Halloween, the class met at Oma's Pumpkin Patch in Lakeside! Auntie Em joined us, and while I thought Baby TD would be too young to really enjoy the pumpkin patch, I think she actually had a blast. She took a quick nap in the car, and once we were inside, she was wide awake and busy watching all the people and trying to figure out the pumpkins. The weather cooperated with us, and was perfect for having a baby out - it was overcast the whole time, and pretty cool so Baby TD even got to wear her Finding Nemo costume! I was so excited to get some pictures of her, and we got a bunch! I think Baby TD was having so much fun and was so excited, she couldn't nap for long, maybe only 15 minutes!

We though this pumpkin was ROTTEN... but it wasn't! What a funky color...!

today i was changing baby td in the morning, before she was ready to wake up. and you know what this means, crying screaming and kicking legs, making diaper changes take longer... but i noticed that now she TWISTS! I think this means rolling over will come soon! i'm excited

ugh... its so hard to find time to blog and keep a journal about how baby TD is growing and developing everyday. Today was baby sign friday, she was awake in the beginning! woo

Today we went to our weekly baby sign language class... and Daddy joined us because he had the day off! I was so excited to have him attend with us, until we were on our way. Then I realized that signing and singing with our baby was not going to be the same bonding experience for him as it is for me. He started off by poking fun at how he would meet people who have been in the class 12 times, I should have known because I had to bribe the man with a McDonald's breakfast to join us... then at the class he disappeared half way through after taking a phone call. When I went out to look for him he was chilling in the car!

Baby TD woke up in a great mood today and we had our customary morning babble. Around noon I wiped baby's face and "brushed" her "teeth." Then I changed her into her heart polka dot dress. Grandma took her and I jumped in the shower to get ready for best friend's cousin's carnival party! Happy 7th birthday Kryselle!

Baby TD did a good job in the car on the way to Toys R Us and the party... but the drive home ughhh. I actually had to pull over 2 minutes into the car ride because she was freaking out. I fed her and changed her, and I thought that a full belly and dry diaper would keep her happy but she cried all the way home. By the time I got her out of her carseat, she was all sweaty and worked up. Does anybody out there have the secret to keeping a baby happy in the car?

Today was a relaxed day. Baby TD and I went to Auntie Em's and baby slept most of the time we were there. She's sleeping next to me right now, and earlier she started sucking on her hands for comfort, and she found her little thumb and was sucking on it. It was so cute.. I've seen her mouthing her thumb before, but this time she really got it in there.
